It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

Finally, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy being given a chance to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her nation didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup arrived three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India briefly halted the winning streak.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy said this week.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not fail again.

If this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this century was far harder to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing at all," said Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive nature take over and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and after that the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was out the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a sense they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
